They all want them to be the best and have as many opportunities open in life. Right?
Well what if doing hours and hours of homework isn’t the answer? What if studying was only part of the A+ formula? Gone are the days when we thought that being good at P.E.(Physical Education), meant you were rubbish at math.
There are now masses of research supporting the view that ‘active kids’ perform better academically. Over the past couple of years, research across the globe have been pumping out stats to show that an active sports life not only has physical but mental benefits too.
Benefits of Sports:
Playing a sport is a great way for a child to take a break from academics and release the pent-up energy. It also helps them lead fuller and happier lives as regular sports and fitness activities have proven to provide not only physical benefits but also social and physiological benefits to children.
If sports education is carried out accompanied with academic curriculum, the overall personality development of the student is boosted to quite an extent. Sporting activities go beyond just physical activity. Games and exercise stimulates growth and leads to improved physical and emotional health. Sports today encompasses myriad form of athletics, martial arts and exercises that have many advantages and have been enduring part of the curriculum. Increase in self-esteem and mental alertness make school sports and games necessary for every school age child.
