 Bharati Vidyapeeth, the parent body of RTSE, was established in May, 1964 by Hon'ble Dr. Patangrao Kadam with the objective of bringing about intellectual awakening and multifaceted development of the children of our country through education. Inspired by righteous objectives, Rabindranath Tagore School of Excellence came into existence. The school, whose name itself apprises “the school of excellence”, is inspired by the learning & philosophies of noble laureate Rabindranath Tagore.

Similar to Tagore's philosophy of education, at RTSE, much emphasis is laid on arts and culture for developing empathy and sensitivity amongst our learners.
